New American Girl Items for Spring 2013

Heyy AG Lovers! American Girl has come out with new things today :)
Here are all of the new items and some of my opinions on them. There are four new Historical items. Two for Caroline and two for Molly. There are also new MAG clothing and accessories out. Let's get started!

Sweet Spring Dress for Dolls + Charm

I really like this outfit a lot and think it 's super cute! It costs $30.

Plaid Party Dress for Dolls + Charm

This is a plaid dress with shoes and a hair clip. I like the design and love all the new doll dresses since I have one and would like to get some more. It costs $30.

Cycling Outfit + Charm
This is a new sports outfit for bicycle riding (there's also a doll bike you'll see later in this post!). I think it's great AG has a wide variety of outfits for different activities. It costs $28, which is less expensive than many of their sports outfits.

Easy Breezy Outfit + Charm

This is one of my favorite outfits they released! I know that some people will look at it and think "Really?" but I love fun summery outfits that cheer me up :) Where I live we've had 3 snow days so far and there's snow on the ground right now so this outfit gets me excited for spring :D It costs $28.

Lots of Dots Bath Wrap + Charm

A new bath robe for your dolls covered in fun polka-dots. It has the robe, slippers, and headband. This is $24.

Now I'll show the MAG accessories/furniture.

Trail Bike

This is bike I mentioned earlier. I think it's looks so much fun and would be awesome in videos! It does cost $100, but I think it's still super cute.

Pet Trailer

This is the Pet Trailer which can attach to the Trail Bike or be used separately with the handle. The wheels roll and the opening roll's up as shown in the picture. It costs $48 and is sold separately from the bike.

Styling Chair

This is the updated version of the Doll Salon Chair. There was a blue one before this. It's the same as the other one but pink. It costs $60.

Starry Doll Holder

This is a clear doll holder that can attach to a wall or door. It holds your doll under her arms with the metal hooks. It costs $24.

Happy Birthday Set

This is a really adorable new set for your doll's birthday :)  I love the little accessories it comes with and the colors are so bright and happy. It costs $42.

Pet Party Set

This set is for a pet party. The toy ball fits in the box and the dog bone shaped "cake" is really cute. I like the party hat :)  It is $20.

Those are all the MAG things! Now I'll show you the Historical items.

Caroline's Work Dress

This is a new dress for Caroline that features the dress, bonnet, and shoes. It costs $32.

Caroline's Calf, Garnet

This is Garnet (Caroline's baby cow). She has a rope halter on her. This costs $28.

Molly's Floral Pajamas for Dolls

This is a limited edition pajama set for Molly. They also come with slippers. I don't know how long this will be available but since it says limited edition, if you like it I would get it as soon as you can. It costs $24.

Molly's Bed and Bedding

Her bed is another limited edition item. This features the bed, bedspread, mattress, and pillow. It costs $94. Again, if you like this, try to get it as early as you can.
*I also want to mention that last year, Cecile & Marie-Grace had two limited edition outfits and a table that came out in February 2012. They were retired in December 2012, so if Molly follows the same pattern you will have some time to get them. It all depends on how many they make and how popular it is though. They could sell out faster but I wanted to note this bit of information. *

I hope you enjoy this post and the new AG things! Let me know what you like/your opinions on the new AG release down below.
Thanks for reading/commenting :)

Caroline Info!! With Picture Of Her!

Heyy! I'm so excited because on American Girl's Facebook Page they revealed a picture of Caroline Abott.
Caroline Abott from 1812
She is from Sackets Harbor, New York when the War of 1812 begins. Do you like Caroline? Her blond curls are really pretty and her eye color is so unique: it's a combination of pale green/gray-ish.

Cecile & Marie-Grace's Collection Part 2

Heyy! Welcome to Part 2 of Cecile & Marie-Grace's Collection. I will show their summer set and outfits in this post.

Courtyard Furniture

This lovely table and chairs set is made to look like cast iron, and is so pretty! My family actually has a similar looking set like this. It's green with two chairs and when I saw this it reminded me of ours. I think the table is the perfect size for a nice outdoors set.

Glassware & Treats

These are the goodies which can go on top of the table shown above. The pitcher matches the glass cups. The little french pastries on the ceramic plate are called beignets. This is one of American Girl's fancier and more delicate sets. I think it's really nice and I like that you can take the beignets off the plate and the fruit groups out of the bowl.

Lacy Parasol

This is super pretty and fancy! It can "keep the sun out of your doll's eyes". This has a clear strap that your doll can slip her hand through to hold. It can open and close easily.

Marie-Grace's Summer Outfit

This is a very pretty dress. I love that it comes with a hat! The boots are a nice change from her meet outfit boots which are black and white. The light pink is fancy and very summery.

Cecile's Summer Outfit

I think the yellow in this dress reflects Cecile's confident and kind personality! The bonnet is a nice addition and the boots look similar to her Meet Outfit boots but they are different. The bows in this outfit make it look elegant and fun at the same time.

So, this concludes Part 2 of Cecile & Marie-Grace's Collection. I hope you enjoyed it and I will be having Part 3 up sometime next week!

Caroline Abbott ~ New Historical Doll

Yupp, it's official! Caroline Abbott will be the next historical doll. American Girl posted this on their Facebook account. I can't wait to see what she looks like. She will be coming out in September and her books come out on September 4th according to Amazon.com. Check out this website to see American Girl's Caroline Products!
Go to this website: http://www.americangirlpublishing.com/newtitles/newtitles.aspx
So go to this website. You'll see this, see below!

There are also all six titles of her books and Paper Dolls book. There is also her boxed set and Color and Craft book! You can click on them to see this outline of her. She might have a little curl in her hair, if you look at the picture. It could also be straight, though. Her hair looks like it will at least come down do her shoulders in this outline.

So, what do you want Caroline to be like? I will continue to keep you updated with the latest news on Caroline!

Read-a-Palooza

Heyy, I would like to share some exciting news with you!  ......American Girl is hosting a Read-a-Palooza "event" where every book you buy from AG, they donate $1 to Save the Children's U.S. Literacy Program, as part of their Shine On Now program where AG helps and gives back to charities and foundations. It goes to a great cause and takes place until September 3! It started on May 1st. Buy purchasing a book online, or a store from American Girl you get to help out :)
Here is a link to the special website for Read-a-Palooza: http://www.americangirl.com/reading/
You can print out bookmarks, book club information on how to start a book club and other materials, and fun puzzles. There are also some quizzes to do! This gets me even more excited about getting some new books over the summer.
Here are some AG books I would like to get:

Julie Boxed Set with Game  ~ I have Julie and would like to read her books. Hopefully I can get this soon!

A Smart Girl's Guide to Liking Herself ~ This sounds like a great book! I have a few of the "Smart Girl's Guide to...." and they are really helpful!

Clutter Control ~ This would be a good book for me :) It has fun and cool ways to organize your room, locker, and other places where the clutter could get out of hand.

Lists! A Year of Stuff About Me ~ This book looks so cool! I think it would be fun to fill out all the information and be able to look at it later.

Skin and Nails ~ I think that I would enjoy looking through this book and learning more information about your nails and skin.

Spa Fun ~ This book looks awesome! Homemade spa treatments and pampering sound good to me! :)

These are some of the books I would like to get.
To make your own "AG Book Wishlist" check out the American Girl website bookstore to see all the books, kits, and activity books American Girl has available .  http://store.americangirl.com/agshop/static/books.jsp

Cecile & Marie-Grace's Collection Part 1

Heyy Girls!
Today I thought I'd show you Cecile & Marie-Grace's collection. I have both dolls and happen to love their items :)
My first thoughts on the collection was that it was super detailed. So, here we go!

Cecile & Marie-Grace Dolls and Accessories

They are very pretty and unique from other dolls available from American Girl. Marie-Grace's hair comes in braids draped across the back of her head, which you don't see in this photo. Cecile's curls are gorgeous! It's a little tricky to care for, but once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy!
(would you like to know how to care for Cecile's hair?) The accessories are very cute! I love their necklaces and hats. Marie-Grace's fan is fancy and Cecile's gloves are very elegant!

Cecile & Marie-Grace's Boxed Set with Game
I actually have this! It's one of the things I currently own from their collection. Their books are soo amazing! Some parts are sad, some happy. The game opens up from the back and it comes with pieces and a fold-able dice.

The  six-books series titles are Meet Marie-Grace, Meet Cecile, Marie-Grace and the Orphans, Troubles for Cecile, Marie-Grace Makes a Difference, and Cecile's Gift. All of these books come in the Boxed Set which I showed above, but you can also buy them separately. I've read them all and they were really good, as mentioned before. I'd highly recommend reading them sometime.

The Hidden Gold: A Marie-Grace Mystery

I haven't read this book yet but would love to soon. I've seen it at Barnes & Noble before and just haven't gotten it because I wanted something else. Hopefully, I will be able to read it soon!

The Cameo Necklace: A Cecile Mystery

This is another book I have not read yet. When I get the other mystery for Marie-Grace I will probably get this book too.

Cecile & Marie-Grace Just for Fun

This is the Just for Fun book that they have for all of the historical characters except Addy and Kaya. I have this, but haven't used it yet. It has puzzles, sudoku (number puzzles), Mask Making, and much more! I looks super fun and I will probably make a video and post a review on it, when I start using it.

Marie-Grace Treasure Tote

A tiny tote full of fun things to do! I have Julie's Treasure Tote, which again I haven't opened yet, but will soon. They have a mini shorter version of the dolls Meet book (Meet Marie-Grace) and a puzzle, mini paper doll scenes, and some other fun activities that involve Marie-Grace.

Cecile Treasure Tote

Similar to Marie-Grace's, except this one has a mini short version of Meet Cecile and has some different activities in it. These totes are perfect for car trips, rainy days, or fun with your doll! They have a little handle to carry it and a pocket to keep the activity sheets in.

Cecile & Marie-Grace Play Scenes & Paper Dolls

This fun paper dolls book comes with two "pull-out" scenes that are attached to the book. You spread out the book to reveal the 2 fun scenes. I have this but haven't used it yet. I've been saving the opening of it for a video like I have for a few other books. It comes with a whole pad of card-stock and paper sheets with the dolls, Argos and Cochon (a dog and parrot who are Cecile and Marie-Graces different pets), outfits, accessories, and pretend card-stock furniture. There's tons to do with this fun set :)  Oh, it also comes with reusable sticky pieces to attach the clothing to your paper dolls. The book has pockets to store the various pieces in after they are punched, so you can play with them over and over again. One more thing, there are cards that help you act out scenes from the book.

This is Part 1, there will be more parts because they have more to their collection. I hope you enjoyed this post and comment letting me know what you like, if you have them or anything from their collection, questions, or anything else!

I do not own any these pictures. All rights go to American Girl.

Bye and have an AWESOME day!!  :)
