YouTube channel and Blog Fall Updates

Hi everyone, I have some important updates today. I would love it if you read the whole thing, but if not, please at least read the bold part at the bottom.
School has started and I won't have as much time to upload videos or write blog posts.
I am taking all honors classes this year and that means more work. I will also need to study and work on projects on my own schedule.

Aside from all this school work, I also have friends and family to keep up with. Sometimes I hang out with friends after school whether it be at the local cafe or pizzeria, or "studying" (haha), or just texting :) School, family, and friends come first.

And on top of that, I still want to participate in clubs and my other interests. So basically, my time on the internet is going to be limited.

If you didn't want to read everything above, please read this: I will not have the time I used to and videos may come far and few between. But, I'm still here and although I may not be on as much, I am still trying to upload videos.

Thanks for everyone who helped make this past year on AGYT amazing!

Haven't I Seen You Before? : Gymnastics Set

Hi everyone, I'm trying something new today where I share a new American Girl product with you in comparison to an old AG item.
Today is...the Gymnastics Set that was released in this year Fall/Winter 2013 release and McKenna's Beam and Bar Set from GOTY 2012 McKenna's collection.

First, the older item: McKenna's Beam and Bar

This gymnastics set came with a floor beam, practice bar, plastic grips, wedge, and mat.

Now, the newer set: Gymnastics Set (MAG Collection)

This is the newer version of the set, and comes with everything that McKenna's set did. It includes all the same pieces without any modifications other than color. This set could be McKenna's Beam and Bar set's twin!

Why I Think This Happened:
American Girl is, of course, a company who's "main goal" is to make money through sales. So when something is popular, like McKenna's Beam and Bar set was, it makes sense to use this information in developing future products. McKenna's set was back ordered a lot last year since it was so popular. Now, people who didn't get the chance to buy McKenna's, can get this one.

My Opinion:
I think this set will be very popular and sell well. I don't think I'll get this, since I don't do gymnastics anymore and I don't really have an interest in it. It's such a large piece, and I've been trying not to buy an large sets that I will regret purchasing and won't have enough space for. But it's very cute :)

So what do you think? Will you be purchasing this new set or did you prefer McKenna's Beam and Bar set?
Also, would you like to see more of these type of posts? Let me know in the comments below :)

How To: Hat Curls on Your Doll

Hi everyone, today's post is about creating cute curls in your dolls hair using basic items. This hairstyle works best on dolls with wavy hair, to add extra "flounce", or to restore curls in your dolls hair.
Here's how...
Example of the Pinned Hair

You'll need:
Doll-Sized hat (If you don't own one try using one of your own clean socks)
Hair Pins or Hair Clips (mini jaw clips work best)
Your Doll
Doll Brush
Spray Bottle with water (Optional)

Instructions:
1. Brush out your dolls hair until it's tangle free.
2. Take small sections and twist them until it starts coiling over on itself.
3. Hold the coil close to your doll's head and secure with a clip or pin.
4. Repeat with the rest of your doll's hair.
All coiled up it will look like this...
5. Lightly spray the hair with water
6. Place the hat/sock over the curls to help them stay in place
7. Let set until all the hair is dry or at least 30 minutes
8. Remove the hat and undo the curls!

I hope you enjoyed this :)
