The Result Are In! Poll #5

Heyy guys! I held a poll on my blog for the past few weeks. Since Saige is a really big topic now in the AG community, that's what I made the question about.
21 people voted and here's the results:

The Question... Will You Be Purchasing Saige?
Definitely                                      (52%)    11 People
If I like the rest of her collection    (14%)     3 People
Maybe...                                      (28%)     6 People
No                                               (4%)       1 Person
So that's what you voted :)

My opinion: I think that I will be purchasing Saige. I started saving for her in August :) I was just so excited for a new GOTY. When I found out that she would be into art it just made me 10x more excited...I love art: some of my favorites in art specifically are drawing and coloring.
Have a new idea for a poll? Leave a comment down below and in the results for the poll you'll get a shout-out.

Budgeting Money for American Girl

Heyy AG lovers!  Today I'm going to be sharing with you some budgeting strategies I use when it comes to American Girl.  Whenever I decide I want to put aside money for American Girl or purchase something from AG, I count all my money.  So, what do you do after you've saved all this money? Do you spend it all? Do you keep saving?  These are questions I think about, because while saving money is a popular topic, budgeting doesn't seem to be out there as much. So I put together this post  :)
1. Count Your Money
This post will help most if you have a lot, maybe over $200, because that's when budgeting your money can become more important.

2. Wishlist
Creating a wishlist can be fun, so put together a list of what you'd like most. From there, you can figure out what you would like to get. Put in some non-AG items too :)

3. Saving What You Have
Put aside some money to keep saving, if you'd like. That way, you still have some money and you have a starting point for saving after you've spend some money.

4. American Girl/Non-American Girl
My suggestion would be to put some money aside for non-ag items, like clothing, other hobbies you're interested in/toys , camera, etc. I love art, so for me these other things include art supplies. Try putting 1/4 of your money aside for other items, and keep the remaining 3/4 for American Girl. If you have many other interests other than American Girl, try half for AG and half for whatever else you'd like. Take the non-AG items from your wishlist and put that with your money.

5. American Girl
AG is expensive, so take a look at the AG items on your wishlist and total the cost. If you have less money than what your wishlist costs, split your list in two. Things you'd like most, and things you want but can wait. This way you're not permanently removing anything and you can get it at a later time. Now, you're ready to order or buy AG items.

5. *Remember*
A few things to remember:
*AG releases and retires items. If you're worried that something may retire soon, get that first. Also, they release new items. If you are around a time when you know AG usually releases new things, wait to see if you like anything from the release.

*You don't have to spend all your money at once. It is okay to keep saving some if you'd like.

*Remember what you like most. If you didn't originally want something, don't "talk yourself into" an item just because you have money for it, if you don't really like it that much.

If you'd like to see Saige, see my post here: http://ag4ever365.blogspot.com/2012/11/saige-goty-2013.html
Now that you know what she looks like, maybe she's your next item to budget money for :)

How do you budget your money? Let me know in the comments below. Thanks for reading/commenting!

Saige GOTY 2013 with Picture

Heyy guys! A photo of the doll Saige is here! Who/where/when the photo was taken by is unknown, and Doll Diaries has the photo on their website. I decided to share my opinion. Here she is:

She's so pretty! She has a fair complexion, different than what most people thought she would have. Since the book description said she lived in New Mexico, people though she would have a more Hispanic complexion. So I must say that I was surprised to see what she looks like. She is very pretty though!! She has blue-ish eyes (2 year in a row!) and brownish hair. I was surprised that she had blue eyes though...McKenna and now Saige do, that's two Girl of the Year's in a row. He hair is brown, although it looks like it has some brownish-red in it. Her meet outfit is very cute. It looks to be two separate pieces, although it may be a dress. Her horse is on the cover with her and you can see the Meet book better here.
Also, I apologize for not posting in a while....my family's house lost power due to the storm.
So, do you like Saige GOTY 2013? Leave your opinion down below :)

American Girl Place: New Locations

heyy! Have you ever been to an American Girl Place? I've been to the one in NYC and it was awesome! I'd love to go to the one in Chicago, even though it's changed alot since it first opened, it was the first AGPlace, so there's something special about it :)
Anyway, I'd love to hear your stories about the AG Place or if you want to go to one!
They have some events and if you go to http://www.americangirl.com/stores/   you can see what events they have at the various stores.
Now onto the main reason for this post, there are two new AG Places coming soon! They've been talked about for a bit but I wanted to wait until I had some more information to do a post. The locations are in Houston, Texas and Miami, Florida.
The AGP in New York

AGP Houston: The "Grand Opening Weekend" is September 15-16 2012. That's a Saturday and a Sunday. There will be a Bistro, Doll Hair Salon, and of course shopping  :)  In addition, there will be a Creativi-Tee shop like many of the other store have.

AGP Miami: They have not listed when the Grand Opening will be yet, other than "opens this fall", but when American Girl does I'll be sure to let you know :)  So far, we know that it will have all the basics: Shopping, Bistro, Doll Hair Salon, and Creativi-Tee Shop.

Are You Excited For The New AG Places? Be Sure To Comment Down Below Your Opinions!
Thanks for reading/commenting and have a wonderful day/weekend!

Caroline Info!! With Picture Of Her!

Heyy! I'm so excited because on American Girl's Facebook Page they revealed a picture of Caroline Abott.
Caroline Abott from 1812
She is from Sackets Harbor, New York when the War of 1812 begins. Do you like Caroline? Her blond curls are really pretty and her eye color is so unique: it's a combination of pale green/gray-ish.

18in Doll Furniture

heyy! I came across a really cool website that sells doll furniture that fits 18in dolls! It's called Payne Street Doll Boutique.
Here's a link to the website: http://www.psdollboutique.com/default.html
They have some really nice furniture. I saw a kitchen set that looked really nice. If you go to their website then you can see the pictures of the different products they have available. I just wanted to share this with you :)
Some of it is a little pricey, though.
Please Note: I am not affiliated with Payne Street Doll Boutique and all opinions are my own.
Thanks for reading/commenting. What do you think of their products?

Scavenger Hunt: AG Doll Catalogue

Heyy! Yesterday I shared a scavenger hunt with you and today I made this AG Doll related one! I'll have more in the future of different types. You can play by yourself or with friends and family.
Here's What You Need (for each person playing):
Old AG Catalogue (one you don't mind cutting out pictures from) (you can choose to have many available)
Glue Stick
Large Piece of Paper (any color)
Ideas For Playing:
If your playing by yourself then you need one of everything, each additional person playing will need another set of items.
So find the items on this list, cut them out of the catalogue, and glue them onto your large piece of paper. Decide if you want to try and find them all or find a certain amount of the things on the list. If playing with more than one person, you could see who can find the most things in a certain amount of time, find everything first, or any other variations you can think of! Note that depending on what catalogue you are using, you might not be able to find everything.
The List:
1.A Retired Doll (Historical, GOTY, or MAG/JLY)
2.Retired Outfit (Historical or GOTY)
3.Retired Outfit (MAG/JLY)
4.An Old MAG/JLY Meet Outfit
5.Clothing That Has Red, White, and Blue in it
6.Clothing That Is For a Holiday (Historical or GOTY)
7.Clothing That Is For A Holiday (MAG/JLY)
8.Five Accessory Sets That Include Food (Any Combination of Historical, GOTY, or MAG/JLY)
9.Something That Costs More Than $300
10.Something That Costs Less Than $10
11.Outfit That Includes Hair Accessory
12.Pajamas for a Retired Doll (Historical or GOTY)
13.Retired Pet (MAG/JLY)
14.Retired Pet (Historical or GOTY)
15.Clothing That Has Been Out For 2 Years (or more!) And Is Still Available
16.Retired GOTY Piece of Furniture
17.Pet That Was Retired But Came Back  :) (You can use the old version or the new version but it has to be that specific pet)
18. Retired AG Book/Kit
19.Your Fave MAG (I gave you an easy one!)
20.A Limited Edition Item (can be currently available or retired; doesn't include an item that will eventually retire it has to be something listed as Limited Edition)
Challenge: All Of The American Girl Pets Ever Available.
Use A Catalogue of Go Online And Get The Pictures (No Cheating and Looking Them Up On The Internet :)
Have Fun! Did you play? Tell me if you enjoyed it, or anything else you'd like to say!
Thanks for Reading!

Heyy! Today I want to share a fun scavenger hunt with you :)  This one is for You, and in the future I'll have doll-related ones. The reason I am sharing this is because it came out of the American Girl Book Giggles & Games. Here is what the book looks like.
I was going through my AG books the other day, came across it, and decided to share the Scavenger Hunt with you!
Since it was raining today where I live, I though I'd share the Rainy Day Hunt with you :)

Rainy Day Hunt:

a hat
something musical
dice
something gold
stuffed animal
thread that is not black or white
a postcard
a marker or pen
lace

something with 4 wheels
a picture of an animal
a picture of a baby
